Recycled cushions

In the last few years, I have collected a lot of cushions. Ripped the covers, washed the body and kept them.

I have designed some furniture...the seat covers are being 'covered' and I will have them in the next couple of weeks (I sought a pro to do them) - and the seats when finished would demand some nice cushions.

So the last couple of nights, I brought out some recycled materials and bits and bobs...and made the below two cushions. Some of the buttons used are antique...some are not. I liiike them :)

Mindful use

Being TOTALLY against animal cruelty, I didn't know what to do with these horns.

I found these in my parents' house...and the animal was hunted by my stepmother's brother. My stepmom had it placed somewhere apt in her house, and her brother was very special to her and this gift was precious to her...but I was thinking: what am I to do with it now?

I called my step uncle and told him if he wants me to send these horns to him, he said no, do what you want with them. Dilemma.

So this is what I did with it...it is holding my beady jewellery...and I framed it and put it in a nice place...so I can respect the last part of that animal which is useful and appreciated.

I am back...after a whole lot of months of being away from my nest, my studio, my peace, my life....I am celebrating every second of being back.

So...soon my studio will be back in function and I shall show here what I am doing...I might add instructables and all sorts. I am buzzing with anticipation.

I will be taking a course in February...basics on using Silverclay...am sooooo looking forward to it :) I shall post the progress in that skill as I learn it.

Meanwhile, I have been doing crocheted patches...to become hopefully a Spring cardi:
